JH Coaches Begins Operating Sunderland Connect Services 700 & 701 on Behalf of Nexus
We are delighted to announce that JH Coaches has been appointed by Nexus to operate the Sunderland Connect 700 and 701 services, further strengthening our commitment to providing high-quality, reliable public transport across the North East.
Operating on behalf of Nexus, these services play an important role in connecting key destinations across Sunderland, serving local residents, university students, commuters, hospital visitors and tourists alike.
Connecting Sunderland
The Sunderland Connect network is a key part of the city's transport network, providing convenient and reliable links between some of Sunderland's busiest destinations.
Service 700 operates as a circular route between Sunderland Interchange and St Peter's Campus, serving City Hall, Monkwearmouth, Seaburn, Roker, the National Glass Centre and St Peter's Campus before returning to the city centre via West Sunniside. The service offers easy access to Sunderland's seafront, educational facilities and popular visitor attractions.
Service 701 provides a direct link between St Peter's Campus, St Mary's Boulevard, the University of Sunderland, Sunderland Royal Hospital and City Hall, before returning to St Peter's Campus. The route provides an important connection for university students, hospital staff, patients, commuters and visitors travelling across the city.
